Gone baby Gone!
So, I got a little sick of the constant hair pulling and spit up in my long tresses! It had to go... plus I can now make a second donation to "Locks for Love". What y'all think?? Extreme I know, I am still getting used to it myself and I know poor Cody is too. He has been really sweet, trying to find ways to compliment it...but as you all know he loves my long hair. Sorry Sweetie, I promise to grow it back again someday.
We have been busy this month with lots and lots of company! Taylor is here now and Cody's mom, Rohonda is coming on Saturday. This will be her first trip out to see us, and meet Sam too. This weekend is packed with lots of Halloween activities for the neighborhood, there is a block party and a kiddo group picture with all the children in costume. It should be fun! I will post a few pictures of Sammy all dressed up.

3 months
Well, everyone said it! Three months is the magic number for these wee guys. I think that it is true, suddenly almost everything has gotten easier here on the Fielden home front. We have gotten a pretty decent routine established both during the day, and at night. Sam is still eating upwards of 9 times a day, but that is just fine, because he is still my little peanut. His last weigh in on the 10th had him at 9lbs. 10ozs.-- My goal is to have him double his weight by his 4 month checkup or at least get close to it. He is just fitting into the 0-3 sizes, which is hilarious to me, the kid was 10 days late! He has become more efficient when he eats, it usually takes him around 20 minutes, as long as he doesn't start to fall asleep. Naps are still all over the place, sometimes he takes two great ones. Other days he will nap once for several hours, and then there are the days when he is a nightmare and only cat naps. This is not fun for anyone, but we make it through.
Sam is really starting to become more of a baby, than an infant. I am having so much fun with him now. He is lifting up on his arms when he plays, which up until the last few days he HATED. He is getting quite strong and seems to almost enjoy a different perspective on things. He hasn't yet rolled from tummy to back, but I expect by the end of the month he will be doing that too. And today, he laughed! A real good, hearty belly laugh... it made me melt. He also doing a variety of other things, reaching out for toys, discovered his feet and hands. Car rides continue to not be the funnest of times, but either he is getting happier doing it or I am getting better at ignoring him.
Look! I am holding my own bottle!
With Sam well on his way to growing up, I am also getting better at handling this life changing role. I can't say it has been easy or a piece of cake, in fact, I think I may have even been a bit post-pardomy bluesy... but now, I am happier than I have ever been-- and tired.

Sammy gets baptised
Our little man was baptised this past Sunday. It was a nice day, filled with lots of family. We were so blessed to be joined by so many of both of our families. Unfortunately, Sammy cried through the whole thing. It had nothing to do with being naked or wet, but starving. He slept through all of the church service and when I was about to feed him, Deacon Fred wanted to get started. It was tough to sit through with him so unhappy, but we made it....barely. I was kind of saddened that it was so chaotic, I always get a bit misty during baptisms, and was really looking forward to seeing Sammy during this sacrament. But, the whole thing passed me by with little memory, because I was so distracted by his crying and hunger.
Godfather, Uncle Tristan
Godmother, Aunt Sarah
And, Nana, Pop-pop, Grandpa, and Grandma

We had a great big BBQ over the house with burgers, beers, and all sorts of other yummies made by the "Moms"--thanks ladies!
Sammy meets the Fielden clan
The majority of Cody's family made it into town for our little boy's baptism, it was very exciting to finally introduce him to everyone. We had a great week, mostly we just sat around catching up, playing with little Sammy and eating, of course!
Big Sam and little Sam taking a snooze on the coach together. How snuggly!
Grandma was really helpful with getting Sammy bathed and cleaned up for bedtime. We really missed her, and were so happy she could come back so soon.
Even Aunt Sue made the trek out from Fresno to meet the only Fielden boy as of yet! Sammy really enjoyed spitting up on her, ALOT!
And, let us not forget Auntie Sarah, the Godmother.
Having a little afternoon snack with Grandpa!

Welcome Joseph Aaron Hauck
I have another beautiful little nephew! Joey was born on October 1st, 4 days late. Poor Holly! Joey is such a doll baby, and what a head of hair he has!! I think this one might look like Daddy. I had forgotten already how tiny and squishy the new ones are!
Dennis, Holly and the new little boy at the hospital. We hopped in the car on Tuesday to see him and bring him a little present for making his way into the world. Lil' Dennis had already left for the night with Onnie and Pop. He is doing good with baby Joe according to Dennis and Holly, but is still a bit miffed on the little dude taking so much of Momma's attention. I know that in a few weeks all will be forgotten and Joey will be all he can talk about.
Sammy meets Joey, he didn't know much what to think, however he didn't care to much for Joey little howling crys when he was nursing. Sammy stopped and answered him right back, it was kind of funny. It is hard to believe in a few months these two will be the best of buds, with Dennis as the ring leader!
