28 weeks

Sorry no belly shots.  Our pictures aren't working on iPhoto still, and we are currently waiting for a disk to be sent from Apple to update our software.  We hope this fixes the problem.

Anyway, I'm at 28 weeks.  I've had my glucose test, which I failed.  Sad face.  Tomorrow I go for a 3 hour sugar induced, blood taking marathon of misery.  As you can tell, I am looking forward to it.  I had to do it with Sam.  I passed the 3 hour with him, and had no problems with AR.  Let's just hope it is a glitch.  Most of the people I know say the gestational diabetes isn't that big of a deal, but dang... I really don't want to give up my bowls of cereal or occasional dessert.

I've gained about nine pounds, feels like thirty.  I just feel huge!  And, to justify this my doctor said that he was shocked to find my measurements ahead of the curve.  We joked about how this will be my big baby at 6 1/2 pounds.  At times, feels like the little guy is trying to make an exit through my belly button.  There is tons of pressure on my stomach and back.  The sciatica has let up quite a bit, which is such a relief.  It has really kept me from doing much exercise, so hopefully once my mornings are a bit quiter I can start a water aerobics class and get my cardio back on.  I just have to watch how much time I am on my feet, and the pain is controllable.  It helps to have Sammy in school and AR will start her little program at the Methodist Church next week.  She is so excited to go to school like her brother, she wants to be dressed and carry her back pack just like him.

I have some great first day of school shots of Sam.  He looks so grown up in his uniform.  It is going really well.  He is thrilled whenever you ask him about school, loves his teacher and his class.  He hasn't complained once about having to do more work and writing.

As soon as our computer is up to speed, I will post pics.

25 week Checkup

I had my "24 week" checkup last week, at 25 weeks and everything looks great!  The little cyst on my man's brain is GONE!  Three cheers for Baby Bean 3!  He is quite the jolly little fella too, as you can see from his picture.  Almost all of his shots have him smiling.  Very cute.

The radiologist was right, it was just a developmental blip that has come and gone.  He was very active and giving us quite a show.  And as you can see from photo 2, he is still a boy.  We are relieved that he seems to be doing just fine.

The growth track for our little man is still a week behind.  This doesn't surprise anyone, but they will probably continue to monitor his growth throughout the whole pregnancy.  His heart rate was at 135BPM, and he is in the breech position.  Again, not a huge concern for me since I am a scheduled c-section anyway.

I have gained about 8 pounds total.  I am having trouble getting regular exercise, we have been very, very busy.  Aside from just the time constraints, I am in a lot of physical pain.  My back and sciatic nerve are just unrelentless.  If I spend 20 minutes on my feet, I am crippled for the rest of the day.  This has not been fun or easy with a 5 year old and almost 2 year old.  I just don't have the luxury of "taking it easy" with this pregnancy, like with the other two.  Sam starts kindergarten in a week and then AR is doing a church school 3 mornings a week for a few hours, this will give me some time to get off my feet and gear up for our baby's arrival.  I am hoping to find a water aerobics class a few mornings a week too come September.  I crave and miss my exercise.

Next week, I have my glucose test.  Yuck.  That is my least favorite appointment.  There is fasting, gross tasting syrup and lots of blood drawing involved.  NOT FUN.

I would love to give everyone a peek at the blooming belly of mine, however, our iPhoto isn't working and we can't upload pictures.  You may just have to wait on those.

Happy baby

Still a boy:)

Well hello August, you got here fast!

Oh my goodness, we have been so busy.  I don't even know where July went!  It has been a whirlwind of activity here...

First, our trip to San Diego for Ryan and Norah's wedding started out our month.  I can't believe that was almost over a month ago!  It was just Cody and I out for the trip, the kids stayed home with my Mom.  We were both in the wedding and could only get away for a few days during that time in the month, too tough of a trip for the little guys.  We had a blast though, it was nice to kick back and enjoy every one's company without having to scurry around after kids, and mind routines.

We came back to our little guy turning five!  We celebrated him all week in true style.  He had a small celebration on his actual birthday.  I made him one of his favorite dinners spaghetti and meatballs.  We opened gifts and had cake.  But a few days later, we had a bunch of his friends and cousins over for a Space Party.  We played space games like pin the alien on the space ship, alien egg hunt, and spacey version of duck duck goose which Sam made up called "Alien Alien Astronaut".  The kids had Planet Pizza and Moon Cake.  It was a great little party.

Annarose didn't quite get the rules, but she played anyway.

Prepared to catch that Alien!
And, as if that wasn't enough celebrating... we decided to take a trip to Great Wolf Lodge to end the birthday week.  On Friday, we took the Hauckie boys with us and left Annarose with Uncle Hamp, Aunt Holly and Nana.  Then we did a switcheroo, and AR got to enjoy the fun on Saturday.  It was a huge success cause the boys got to ride the big slides, finally be five and over 42'' tall.  This was big stuff!

Such a good big brother, helping AR get down her first slide!

She liked it!

I have more picture from the rest of the month, I am trying to get off my camera.  Sam and I had a little computer incident, that has my picture locked on my card.  I can't seem to get them off.  I am hoping to salvage them.  We've got lots of pictures from when Grandma Rohanda and Grandpa Jerry Pop were here, our trip up the BR Parkway and Boone as well as stuff from our trip to Philly to visit the Hauckies up there.  I am super frustrated I can't retrieve these pictures, GRRRRRR.  Is there a patron saint for computer/digital camera glitches??
