Grandpa's visit

Big Sam came for a nice long visit these past few weeks. The trip out was supposed to be to help celebrate at Sammy's birthday party, but we had to cancel it due to his "chick-n-pops"...so we just got to hang out lots and lots. It was a whole lot of tee-ball playing, porch swinging, ice tea drinking and chit chatting. Sammy getting to know his Grandpa again as a big boy 2 year old. I am sure Big Sam is wiped out! Sammy kept him on his feet and had lot of questions for him, "whatcha doin' Grandpa, whatcha doin'?"

I don't know who is helping who eat there lunch here...

Tickle!

Big Sam brought out Cody's Grandfather's rifle for a gift...it is a handsome old and rare Remington. We took it to a Uwharre National Forest where they had a rifle target range to 'site it in' with the newly mounted scope. Cody hopes to take it deer hunting this year. While the big boys were off doing that, Sam and I did a bit of exploring and found this cool picnic area along the lake. It had some fire pits for camp fires and easy shores for fishing. The out house was decently maintained. I thought it would be fun to come out in October with a bunch of other families, fish and have campfires. We will see!
