Happy New Year!

We spent ringing in 2009 with my family down in Charlotte. A few fun pictures from the evening...
Our first picture in '09

Dennis's Reubens were deliciousness!

Holly let Dennis stay up a little late, somewhere along the line he lost his pants I guess.

Champagne toasts and lots of giggling!

Especially for Holly

Cody getting a little ambitious with the bubbly.

Even Zoe was feeling the spirit.

The year 2008 was filled with many great things for us here at the Fielden house. We were blessed with a healthy new nephew, Damien Jr. and Cody fufilled his life dream of owning his own practice that is running smoothly in its first year. We also survived the first year as parents to a wonderful little boy and so did our marriage, which has never been stronger four years into it. We welcomed Mike Shand into the Fielden-Murphy-Brzozowski crew and it was a gorgeous, touching wedding week where we spent the whole time in San Diego visiting with our family and enjoying the Cali sunshine we miss so much. The great Thanksgiving reunion of '08 was a big deal for Cody and his other side of the family, it was wonderful to spend time getting to know all of those brothers, sisters, in-laws, cousins, nephews, etc......And, most of all we have all of our family healthy and still with us.
As with all things considered life, we also had some tough times. Sarah's accident sent the whole family into crisis mode, pulling together resources, prayers, and whatever else those girls in Tacoma needed. Some of our parents lost good friends to illnesses. Friends lost family to tragic accidents. Terrible illnesses happened to good friends who remain fighting the good fight. The economy took a spill and many we care about have been laid off. And, don't even get me started on elections! But, lucky for me, I believe in that what goes up will come down and what fell down comes back up. I hope that 2009 is a year filled with happiness, health and prosperity for all. And, if the good Lord sees fit I would like my unicorn and rainbow now.
